My name is Annabel Fidler, and if you have clicked on this page, you have found my web portfolio. This is where you will find most of my web projects, and I encourage you to check out them out!

I am a current graduate student working on a Masters in Mass Communication with a focus in Digital Media. My passion is web design and videography. I will graduate May of 2018 and hope to take my skill set into a professional career of web design and videography. While I like creating personal and visually captivating websites, I also like creating a data-driven story and journalism angle into my web projects.

If you choose to go further into my website, I hope you feel free to connect and do not hesitate to contact me!

I’ll leave you with my favorite quote from Steve Jobs:” You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.”

Visual Storytelling

My personal video experience has been through school and freelance. I have not only produced news stories but also have been able to cover live sports events and commercials. I  hope to make my video skills transition into a more creative field for promotional use or possible wedding videos. Video is the visual way to tell a story without text or words.

Data Journalsim

Web designing is more than a new skill I have learned over the past year. I have developed a new passion for design and finding the story angle of a web page. While the design is important, keeping people searching and clicking around on a page is another skill for a media journalist.
